About Us
The Center is operated by the Loma Linda University Department of Earth and Biological Sciences, and includes contributions from various faculty and students, primarily from the LLU School of Science and Technology. Faculty and students from other LLU schools and its sister institutions also contribute to the mission, goals, and science of the Center.
I am extremely excited about our new Center and the high-quality exhibits we are currently developing. We will create a facility where people of all ages can see diverse life forms, learn about the biodiversity crisis, and gain a greater appreciation for the urgency of conservation research. We especially hope to reach out to Christians and other faith groups, who have measurably less interest in environmental issues than the public at large. Please consider partnering with us in our effort promote environmental awareness and stewardship.

Loma Linda University is recognized internationally for its health mission and emphasis on wholeness. We are concerned with wholeness not just of body, mind, and spirit, but also that of our environment. As our planet suffers from overpopulation and habitat destruction, the accelerating biodiversity crisis reminds us of the possibility of our own demise. Our very existence depends on maintaining healthy ecosystems, not just for our sake but for the other inhabitants of our planet as well. Please join our efforts to promote environmental awareness.
